The Alexandria Blizzard had an awesome win over the #1 team in the NA3HL, the North Iowa Bulls, January 5, 2018. There was no scoring in the1st period for either team. The Bulls would get two goals in the 2nd. In the 3rd Tanner Freichs would score ASST: Josiah Roen and Brett Meister @ 3:59. NIO would score at 4:58. Tanner Freichs would score from Alec Skar and Jack Mellstrom @14:10. The last score to tie it for the Blizzard would come from Brenden Payne who was assisted from Alec Skar and Tristen Pollseno.. The score would remain tied at 3 after 3 periods and the overtime. During the shootout, Logan Nelson scored our first goal and Tristen Polisen would get the final goal for the 4-3 win for the Blizzard. Brady Meyers played 65 minutes in his start, stopping 35 of 38 shots.
