Debby Boone, born in 1956, is an American singer, author, and actress, best known for her 1977 hit "You Light Up My Life." As the daughter of famous singer and actor Pat Boone and Shirley Foley, she began her career recording gospel and pop music alongside her sisters as part of "The Pat Boone Family."
In 1979, she married Gabriel Ferrer, an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church, and together they have four children.
After the success of "You Light Up My Life," Debby faced challenges in the pop music scene. She then shifted her focus to country music and later embraced contemporary Christian music, releasing multiple albums and winning two Grammys along the way.
