AKAI JUNGLE. This is probably one of the best jungle tracks I have ever made. To me at least. It has this simple minimal raw energy. Made entirely with Akai s1000, mixed with Soundcraft efx12 with its inbuilt lexicon effects. Live to cassette tape. The picture is the actual setup used to make this track, 2011, Brighton, New Market Rd 33A.So what is about jungle that fascinated me so much my whole life ? I was always drawn to the less popular music, and things in general. Jungle had these breaks that i just loved from the very first time i heard it. Everyone was in to techno and house (mid 90s) and i just didn't like that constant 4x4 kick (i do love some mellow 4x4 stuff these days). Jungle had this rebellious energy that resonated with me. These days I am into slow mellow stuff but jungle is still in my hearth and in my blood.
