A early honky-tonk recording made by the singer and guitarist Al Dexter in the date of November 28, 1936 for the Vocalion Label in San Antonio, Texas.

Dexter was backed by a western swing trio called "The Nite Owls": the lead/electric guitarist Bobby Symons, the rhythm guitarist Luke Owens and the bassist Jack True.

The song feature one of the early electric guitar recorded and one of the first hit of the "honky tonk" genre. Dexter gained popularity in the Mid 40's with his song "Pistol Packin' Mama.
