This is a 20-minute "highlights reel" of scientific solar data from the historic SOHO spacecraft that (as of 2024) has been looking at the Sun for nearly 30 years from the Earth-Sun L1 Lagrange point, building on a 2 year initial mission that started in 1995. The highlights video was produced by Joe Gurman and Steele Hill at NASA/GSFC in 1999. I digitized it in 2024 off of a quarter-century-old VHS tape. There are much higher resolution data routinely available today; this sequence highlights a smattering of the interesting solar events seen by this profoundly important scientific observatory in space.
