Throughout this time only essential businesses were open such as grocery stores and pharmacies and even online deliveries were suspended. Driving was limited to the local area and no social gatherings were permitted beyond the bubble of your own home. Altogether these immediate and strict rules allowed the nation to focus on eliminating the virus and ultimately New Zealand was successful.
We were blessed to stay at a beautiful home in the Fernhill area during this time. Each morning we awoke to an amazing view of the Remarkables mountain range and filled our days with nature walks, exercising, baking, video editing, interviews and more.
Julia even took an online University course for hotel management!
In our next video we're going to take you on a tour of Queenstown but before we do, here’s a quick video of our lockdown experience in New Zealand.
Stay safe everyone.
