Pioneer Works presents their third annual Software for Artists Day (S4AD), an event that encourages technologists to identify themselves as artists, and artists as technologists. Artists and developers come together to converse and collaborate in a daylong event featuring lectures, demonstrations, and shared activities that celebrate the democratizing forces of art and technology. S4AD aims to explore and demystify the most sought-after technology in use today, and, in doing so, proves that technology does not have to be intimidating and that art is for everyone. The conference features four sessions, each including three different presentations; participants choose which presentations they want to attend. Interactive experiences will provide both insight and inspiration for future art/technology collaborations. Breakfast and lunch are provided and the day will culminate with a happy hour during which participants can talk about ideas, make connections, and find potential collaborators.
