Classical comparison between HiFi speakers and studio monitors. Audioengine A5+ and Yamaha HS5 both cost almost exactly the same and both look very good in white, but they also sound very different, pretty much in line with what one would expect considering their origin. Audioengine sounds warmer and more inviting with more plesant bass response while Yamaha sounds clearer and more analytical. For listetning pleasure I would definetly recommend A5+ out of those two, especially if You do not plan on using subwoofer. What do You think? Which one would You choose for You desktop setup?
