Hi all! Here my visit to the Philippines Boracay Island and 4 beaches you for sure must not miss! This is my countdown:
0:21 Fourth place: Bulabog Beach, a kite surfer's dream.
It is located East, about 10 minutes on foot from station one. It is very close to the White Beach and you can witness or experience wind and kite surfing. However, it is not suitable for swimming due to the wind and people kite surfing around. Bulabog beach is nonetheless famous for its stunning sunrises on the contrary to the White Beach which has the best sunsets.
0:43 Third place: Puka Beach a beach full of sea shell masterpieces.
The beach is located North, about 30 minutes from station one by motorcycle or tricycle. It was easy to get there by public transportation (tricycle).
It is perfect to take a long stroll along the island taking pictures with cute sea shell sculpture masterpieces. You can also swim a little too but the waves can be wild at times.
I also visited Puka Beach the second time while island hopping on a big boat. As for the food and drinks, I had one of the best and the most expensive Coconut Pina Coladas. On the contrary, there was a restaurant serving local food near the entrance, where the food was better tasting and certainly more affordable in comparison to the White Beach.
1:24 Second place: White Beach lively, party area.
It is located West of the island and has the stations nearby, the general arrival area of the island. It is known for its most stunning sunsets and sunset boat rides. Going there you will find a galore of restaurants, cafe’s, shops, bars and even clubs. You can also get your hair braided and get a henna tattoo not to even mention a massage right on the beach. It is considered the most popular and lively area of the island and is especially full crowded and full of people. During my visit in the beginning of February, the water was not suitable to swim in due to excessive algae blooming but the sand white and pleasant to walk on.
2:42 Number one pick: Ilig Iligan, a paradise beach.
The beach is located North East, about 30 minutes away from station one by motorcycle or tricycle.
Ilig Iligan is a beautiful serene beach with white sand, palm trees and crystal clear water. Being there felt like paradise, especially because it was secluded and my friends and I were pretty much the only tourists there.
Hundred meters sea inwards there are coral and coves to explore, where a local can bring you by a small boat. It is especially beautiful to snorkel there as the sea life is abundant and full of surreal colorful fishes. On the other hand, going to that area can be a bit dangerous due to a strong current, so be careful not to swim too far out.
Keep in mind that it was a bit difficult to get back to where we stayed (White Beach) as there were no vehicles to bring us back, so it is best to make some arrangements beforehand. However, if you end up without a vehicle to take you back you can walk to the main road and catch a ride there.
I absolutely loved Boracay Island and I will definitely want to visit again to explore more. If you know other great beaches or must visit locations please let me know, I would love to know them!
Thank you for watching! ^^
