Here, we break down some of the product design and branding decisions made for Shinola's Canfield Headphones, designed by industrial design and branding consultancy, Astro Studios.

There were certainly many other deciding factors at play when building these headphones, such as manufacturability and cost. I decided to focus mainly on decisions made around industrial design, especially since these headphones retail for over $400 USD...because of the high price tag, they probably didn't need to make as many compromises on the design.
