First Ever PRIVATE Lander On The Moon?

There is a private lunar lander on its way to the moon! And if it lands, it would be the first lander made by a private company to touch down in one piece. BUUUT... three other private companies have tried and failed in the last 5 years, so the stakes are high.

The lander is called “Odysseus,” and the company that makes it is “Intuitive Machines.” It was launched on a SpaceX rocket on Thursday and it’s on a 6 day mission to the moon. If a private company can land on the moon, particularly if they can do it at a lower cost than NASA can, that would blow the doors open on what we can do in space.
