Building a Terrace (Part 1) and Overnight French Toast

058 This week we are building a terrace. We love to sit outside either to eat or just hang out. The area just outside our kitchen and living room door is perfect for a nice terrace.

Also, April makes delicious overnight french toast. Or is it just toast when we are in france...?

The Recipe for Overnight French Toast
Cut 1/2 of a baguette cut into approximately 1 inch cubes and put in a buttered small casserole pan.

Mix together and pour over bread:
3 eggs
1 c milk
1/4 c cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 T sugar
Generous sprinkle of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Take out and wait 30 minutes before cooking.

Topping:
(Stir sugar and cinnamon together)
3T brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3T butter cut into small cubes
Sprinkle on bread before cooking.

Cook for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
