The case of Shanda Sharer is one of the most chilling cases we've covered on True Crime Recaps.

Twelve-year-old Shanda was the new girl at Hazelwood Middle School in New Albany, Indiana. Infuriated by the attention that Shanda was getting from her girlfriend, 16-year-old Melinda Loveless devised a jealousy-fueled plan to get rid of Shanda for good.

What started as high school jealousy, quickly turned into a murderous event as ringleader, Melinda, had a twisted desire to see Shanda dead. On January 10, 1992, with the help of three other teenage girls, Shanda Sharer was brutally tortured and murdered by the girls, in the most unimaginable ways.
