On 7 July 1993, some five months after the bombing of the World Trade Center, ITN's David Smith reported on the growing terrorist threat to the United States. Speaking to a former CIA analyst, a senate investigator, and former counterterrorism coordinator Paul Bremer, Smith examined the growing terrorist threat to the US homeland, tracing its roots back to America's intervention in the Soviet-Afghan war in the 1980s.
