The initial idea is based on one of the earlier episodes of this series, where I "faked" an FM sound by using the remap function of Serum's oscillators. Paul took it a step further by using that "remapped" oscillator to FM the second one.
At this point, I thought this idea is amazing as it provides a double layer of control over the timbre of this FM, the first layer with the Mod Remap, and the second with the FM itself. But something was missing!
So I figured, why not take things further and create a groovy FM lead by adding a random (or not) modulation on both the remap and the FM parameters and control them with a PWM-shaped LFO? This way, we'll get periodic modulation that only happens when the PWM LFO is playing positive values (or negative, depending on how the modulation was set).
To finish the sound, I've used a Highpass 18db/Oct filter with a good amount of resonance and a ping-pong delay.
