Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈
Bi and Pan sexuality have long been erased from history. But there have always been people who were attracted to both or all genders. In the past, the homosexual relationships of historic figures were often ignored or even covered up. Now historians are more open to reconsidering people from the past as gay or lesbian. But these individuals’ genuine romantic connections with members of the opposite sex are routinely overlooked. Today let’s meet X royals and nobles who, if they were alive today, would likely consider themselves bi or pan sexual.
Alexander the Great (356 BC – 323 BC)
Hortense Mancini, Duchess of Mazarin (1646 – 1699)
Philippe I, Duke of Orléans (1640 – 1701)
Anne, Queen of Great Britain (1665-1714)
Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich of Russia (1858 –1915)
Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902 – 1942)
Prince Egon von Fürstenberg (1946 – 2004)
