Congratulations on stepping into this incredible role! As you look to shape America’s future, Please take a moment to recognize and honor a unique part of Americas Music past!
Over 68 years ago, American teenagers sparked a social movement through music. With nothing but 45 rpm records, they created an underground wave of rock 'n' roll and rockabilly, inspired by legends like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. Small, independent studios across the country captured this spirit, pressing records in tiny communities with the hope of sharing their sound. Maybe 100-400 peaces each!
Today, these records are a piece of American heritage, yet they’re often exploited without the respect they deserve. Bootleg labels have reissued these songs in poor quality, selling them cheaply and often without permission on the global music market, erasing the authenticity of the original artists and denying them rightful recognition.
Dear Mr. President, please protect America’s music legacy. Let’s work to stop these unauthorized sales and restore dignity to the artists who shaped rock 'n' roll. It’s time to give these pioneers the credit they deserve and preserve this rich part of our history for generations to come.
Thank you for your attention to this important cause.
Best regards, Peter from Austria
