Since the West discovered that there are people living in the African continent, they have decided that the best thing to do is to interfere and dictate what should be done and how it should be done in Africa. The West seems to have the notion that Africa is incapable of doing anything and since they feel that they are more superior, it’s up to them to dictate how things should be done. Now while some African waders are content with the West interfering in the affairs of their countries, others are not cool with it and have on several occasions warned the West of interfering in their affairs. Recently, the President of Tanzania, the only female President in Africa, blasted Western countries, particularly the USA, for meddling in the affairs of Tanzania and warned them to desist from such acts. But what exactly did she say and do you think there will ever be a time when the West stops meddling in the affairs of Africa? Let’s find out.

Speaking at the 60th anniversary of the Tanzania police force, the President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan, used the medium to lash out at several Western countries, particularly the US for daring to interfere in the country’s internal affairs. She said without mincing words that her government should not be told how to run the country. In her own words, “"We are not here to be told how to run our country”. As you know, there is no smoke without fire, so why did the Tanzania President lash out at the West? Well, it was in response to the statements made by diplomats from the US, UK, the European Union and Canada. According to the statements, the diplomats expressed concerns over reports of violence, disappearance and death of political and human rights activists in Tanzania. In addition, the US embassy in Tanzania released a statement calling for an independent investigation into the death of Ali Muhammad Kibao, a former leader of Tanzania's main opposition CHADEMA party, whose mutilated body was discovered dumped in Dar es Salaam, earlier this month.
