A chocolate cake that you won't stop making every weekend.
It's really easy to prepare because the cake made from ingredients found in every home.
You can upgrade it with different toppings, I added cherries, but you can actually use another fruit
(Berries, nectarines, plums, apricots..)
๐ Let's prepare:
โข 2 L eggs
โข Sugar 150 g
โข Oil 100 ml
โข120 ml vegetable milk (or regular milk)
โขPinch of salt
โขFlour 200 g
โข Cocoa powder 40 g
โขBaking powder 1.5 tsp
extension:
โขFrozen Cherries 250 g
โข Cornflour 1 tablespoon(only for frozen toppings)
๐ The preparation:
Heat the oven to 180 C degrees (up and down)
For this cake you don't need to use a mixer just mix everything with a whisk.
Mix eggs with sugar, add oil, milk, and salt.
I always sift flour for cakes and if cocoa is added to the batter then it is important to sift it as well. Add the dry ingredients and stir to obtain a smooth mixture.
In the last step, add the fruits and mix gently so as not to crush the fruit.
Grease a spring form pan with a diameter of 18-20 cm, or use a mold for English cake. It is recommended to line the bottom with baking paper.
Put in the oven for 50 minutes. You can test the cake with a wooden toothpick.
It is important to cool the cake before serving
I noticed that it becomes softer if you cover it with plastic wrap.
