Stereophonics is a Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Wales. Known for their gritty vocals and storytelling lyrics, they blend alternative rock, classic rock, and Britpop. The original trio featured Kelly Jones (vocals/guitar), Richard Jones (bass), and Stuart Cable (drums).

Their debut album Word Gets Around (1997) introduced their raw, small-town narratives, followed by mainstream success with Performance and Cocktails (1999) and Just Enough Education to Perform (2001).
