Additionally, he reminisces about attending numerous concerts with his mother as a child. Out of all the concerts he attended, he specifically recalls attending a Marvin Gaye concert that inspired his performance style. Curren$y was captivated by Marvin Gaye's ability to connect with the audience and his mastery of working the audience. At that moment, he knew "that was the way to do it".
