Last night I recorded a hardware synth & sampler (loaded with CMI fairlight samples) to tape. Free on Bandcamp The Volca FM synth was recorded through a WEM Copicat tape echo unit from the 70s. The Electribe 2 was recorded directly to tape with all the FX coming from the Korg Electribe 2 itself, or baked into the samples.
I only used up 3 tracks of the 8-track cassette recorder on this one. It would have been tempting to overdub a bunch of other stuff on top but I thought I'd just leave it as a live performance.
