In a previous video we speculated that the future of the collector car market would expand to include more common cars that would be considered simple, reliable and repairable when compared to the current crop of over teched appliances on wheels.Well, this last week at the Mecum auction in Tallahassee Florida, a very common, very mundane 1987 Chevy Chevette sold for an astronomical amount of money, at the same time that more popular and exotic models were struggling to meet their expected numbers.
Was this just a fluke based on the low mileage featured on this particular car, or is it the begging of a bigger trend within the collector car world.
