Today I attempt to go down the black diamond (sticky icky) and double black diamond (stinger) trails at spider mountain bike park with my Motobecane 29er hardtail mountain bike. The results may surprise you. But these trails have some of the most chunky and gnarly downhill that I've seen in Texas so far. I also answer the question of whether you can go down double black diamond trails on a fairly cheap hardtail mountain bike.

For those that don't know Spider Mountain Bike Park is a lift access bike park in Burnet Texas and is the only lift access bike park in Texas. Although it only has about 350ft of elevation, it packs in a lot of super fun jumps, downhill sections, and wooden features that are hard to find in Texas. It also feature a lot of the signature Texas chunky rock gardens that where fairly challenging on my Motobecane hardtail mountain bike. Some signature features include giant wooden jumps and massive texas flag wall ride.
