Workplace safety practices have international safety standards in place. A safety barrier standard is vital for ensuring industrial safety barriers are fit-for-purpose. The British Standards Institution (BSI) introduced PAS 13 to improve industrial safety barrier standards worldwide. By using safety barriers compliant with PAS 13, the safety barrier code of practice, industrial facilities can improve their workplace safety to meet the highest standards.
Evacuation routes, PPE, hazardous materials, emergency lighting, signage, guarding for machinery, and fire safety equipment, are standardised or governed by legislation in many countries.
