Out of the 193 countries we've visited, this is one experience you need to try. We've been blessed to swim and dive with animals all around the world, but there is nothing quite like being next to one of the largest animals in the world.
Humpback whales, although they don't seem like it when they are launching themselves out of the water, are so gentle and the babies are so curious! We've had several babies swim right up to us as if they were saying hello!
There are only a few places in the world you can swim with humpback whales. We tried it in French Polynesia and Tonga and based on our research these two places are the best! Here are the best seasons for when to book your trip!
🌺🏝️French Polynesia (August-October) - Most beautiful location
🌊⛵Tonga (July-October) - Most popular for humpbacks
🌋🏄♂️Reunion Island (July-September) - Lesser known location
🦘🏖️Australia (July-October) - In trial period to start licensed swims in Ningaloo Reef
🏝️🥥Dominican Republic (January-April) - But very limited people are able to swim each week
