72 BPM, 4/8, atonal. Another one of those ones that took a while.I had a lot of fun playing around with melodies and matching the drums to them. I started mostly with brass MIDI, but I found it popped a little more if I duplicated the melody and played it on a pizzicato MIDI.
Some of the percussion gets a little complicated at parts, including being purposefully off time or at partial beats in order to match it correctly with whatever instrument is playing. But only at certain parts.
Later, I added ambient electric guitar MIDI and a choir MIDI. I mostly would write one melody and then duplicate it for each instrument, which is mostly fine imo. Sometimes I just want to get a song done if I have already spent more than a week on it.
To be honest, I think this song goes pretty hard. I hope the algorithm picks it up!
I know it's not really metal and mostly symphonic, I just want it to show up in more searches lol
