“To lose oneself to the pressures of assimilation is scary. To have every morsel of uniqueness stripped apart for conventional categorizations within stereotypes that never served your own growth is painful. To be reminded that rejecting the status quo comes with a price to pay, your spirit, is enraging. An enchantress in me is yearning their release but I fail to find the words to express it, overwhelmed by the claustrophobia of silencing and isolation. And so, to move is to Scream and yell in grief without a voice. To mourn the loss of myself, everything is left to gain. And so, I let go - release.”
