Afghan Jalebi Recipe

Ingredients:
• Corn Flour – 1 cup
• All-Purpose Flour – 2 cups
• Yogurt – 1/3 cup
• Water – 1 ½ cups
• Butter – 1 tbsp
• Food Coloring – ½ tsp
• Baking Powder – 1 tsp

For the Syrup:
• Water – 2 cups
• Sugar – 4 cups
• Rose Water – 2 tbsp
• Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp



Root Recipe Ingredients:
• Instant Yeast – 1 tbsp
• Warm Milk – ½ cup
• Eggs – 2 (room temperature)
• Sugar – 1 cup (200g)
• Oil – ½ cup (125ml)
• Baking Powder – 1 tsp
• Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
• All-Purpose Flour – 3 ⅓ cups (525g)

For Garnish:
• Egg Yolk – 1
• Milk – 2 tbsp
• Nigella Seeds & Poppy Seeds

Baking Instructions:
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 to 40 minutes.



Spices for Paya:
• Coriander Powder – 1 ½ tsp
• Paprika – 1 ½ tsp
• Turmeric – 1 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1 tbsp
• Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp
• Fennel Seeds – 1 ½ tsp
• Half packet of Shan Paya Masala



Spices for Cholay:
• Paprika
• Curry Powder
• Chili Flakes
• Turmeric Powder
• Cumin Seeds
• Chicken Cube
• Homemade Garam Masala
• Salt
• Bay Leaves



Halwa Recipe:
• Ghee – 1 cup
• Sugar – 2 cups
• Suji (Semolina) – 2 cups
• Rose Water – 1 tbsp
• Saffron – A pinch
• Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
