Flashback to Season 41, where you see longtime Austin City Limits production crew member Ray Lucero getting inked up. Lucero's tenure with ACL dates all the way back to Season 1, so he was a natural choice for a show opening cameo. Many believe to this day Lucero got a real tattoo, but we're finally debunking the rumor. The tattoo is indeed fake, and ACL videographer Jonathan Jackson even gave Lucero direction to wince during the shot to make it look more believable.
