Greece is a country of 10 million people, living in an area smaller than Louisiana, and yet millions every year flock to see this country’s ancient monuments. But this isn’t because of any real geographic blessings– in fact, when you look closer, you notice that the country has a lot more in the way of hills and mountains than arable land, and yet the Greek city-states of antiquity would go on to influence our modern world at the very roots.
