My first pattern created on the Sonicware Liven XFM Synthesizer / Groovebox.Not going to lie, this thing was not easy to get my head around. Big shout out to the Chris Lody channel for their tutorial. That really helped a lot. I'm going to do a full review on this device soon but for now, here's my first real go at trying to make some music on it.
The XFM is supplying 4 different tracks on FM synthesis and the Teenage Engineering PO-32 Tonic is supplying drums. In this case, it's running (more or less) an 808 type of kit. This thing is dirty and kind of lofi but it has its own character for sure. The synth engine is impressively deep and has some unique attributes that I've not seen in other FM synths.
