Vanguard® is an award-winning line of plates and containers made with no added PFAS and is GreenScreen Certified™ Silver to avoid chemicals of high concern or known regrettable substitutes.

The Vanguard line uses a proprietary formula to achieve grease-resistance without relying on conventional PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Made from reclaimed and renewable sugarcane fibers, these containers are plant-based, BPI-certified compostable, microwave-friendly, and effective in both hot and cold applications. The initial line includes a variety of plates, bowls and clamshells, with more products on the way.

What are PFAS?
PFAS are FDA approved compounds used in food packaging for grease and water resistance. In 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reached a voluntary agreement with U.S. manufacturers of PFAS to phase out certain compounds by 2024.
