A majority of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to step down but the announcement has not changed the Liberal party’s fortunes, new polling suggests.

Support for the party dropped by one per cent since similar polling was done in late December.

Meanwhile, voter support for the Conservatives has continued to grow.
