Amazing viewpoint of city woodpecker and how it search for feed. Great spotted woodpecker inhabits a wide range of wooded environments and consumes a diverse array of foods. It can retrieve seeds from pine cones, insect larvae from within trees, eggs, and chicks from other birds' nests. It burrows, unlined except for wood particles, in holes dug in living or dead trees. There are usually four to six shiny white eggs in a clutch. In addition to feeding the chicks and tending to the nest, both parents incubate the eggs. After they fledge, the adults feed the young for approximately ten days, with each parent caring for a portion of the brood.
