✑ It was almost midnight. We climbed up, up, up the Shadow Mountain... The sky was dark, covered by heavy clouds. All around us was very quiet. The land was asleep. It was only us - five foolish travelers who came here underprepared.
We were all tired, but we couldn't stop, not yet. Just over the mountain, that was our goal.
I was looking at my feet, counting every step, so it took me a while to notice the change in light. It was not so dark anymore.
I looked up.
The clouds were gone, and the sky was... infinite.

Another of my little fantasy stories accompanied by ambient music.
I always found space and stars extraordinarily beautiful... and sometimes scary (the level of Jaws soundtrack, haha). The deep space, the unknown, the dark, the infinity, it all seams quite intimidating, and yet... stunning.
