Avtaar (1983) is a Hindi drama film starring Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Azmi, directed by Mohan Kumar. The film follows the struggles of Avtaar Kishan, a self-made man who, after being betrayed by his own sons, rebuilds his life with the help of his loyal servant Sewak. The film was a commercial success and critically acclaimed for its emotional depth and strong performances.

Plot Summary:
The story revolves around Avtaar Kishan, who elopes with Radha despite her wealthy father's disapproval. Over the years, Avtaar works hard and achieves financial stability. However, his ungrateful sons, Chandar and Ramesh, mistreat him, forcing him to leave his own house with Radha and Sewak. Determined to succeed again, Avtaar starts a garage and builds a business empire. He later establishes "Apna Ghar" to help the elderly abandoned by their families. In the end, after facing betrayal from his children, Avtaar dies of a heart attack, leaving his legacy to Sewak.
