This is a video of the annual fall salmon run in a river in the City of Vaughan, (Greater Toronto Area), where salmon come up from Lake Ontario and swim up rivers, against the current, to spawn and lay their eggs. All Pacific Salmon die after spawning due to hormonal changes in their bodies but Atlantic Salmon do not and spawn for many years. I found these fish by surprise while walking on a bridge above the river and looking down into the water by chance.
