In module 4 of the "Developing Timekeeping" Lab, we discuss "lining-up" on the drums. The term "line-up" refers to the ability to play multiple notes with multiple limbs, at the exact same time. When your "line-up" is off, everything sounds sloppy and not "In the Pocket". There are several exercises to help build your ability to tighten up everything that you are playing. This will help solidify your groove and make you sound more clean and precise. Lining up clean and with confidence helps the perception of the accuracy of your timekeeping.
