For those interested this is the tape recording of the live improvisation I posted on the channel earlier - I am experimenting with recording all of my performances to tape and plan to release an EP in the future as a collection of these tape based performances. I really enjoy the way the process makes me commit rather than the endless editing that a DAW allows, and of course it has that magical tape quality - a mix of noise and subtle modulation that adds an undeniable ‘character’ to the sound.
It’s interesting to compare the 2 performances and to hear the impact the tape has.
