During our recent medical mission to Vietnam, I had the privilege of caring for many patients including a 9 month old baby girl with a cleft lip and palate, and her strength and resilience have been truly inspiring. From her pre-op assessment, through surgery, and into recovery, she and her family faced each step with such courage and hope. It’s moments like these that remind me why I do this work—being able to witness a transformation that is not only physical but deeply emotional as well. I’m incredibly grateful to my entire team for their dedication and skill, and to this amazing family for trusting us with their daughter’s care.
