About the Album:
ELIPSE PÚRPURA is Octávio Furtado's second EP, bringing together Rap, R&B and Funk while covering themes such as loneliness and the search for belonging in a unique and independent production. The project features the participation of artists from the Pelotas scene such as Igor Drummond, Nardo, Misa, GraylyHeart, Daniwellz and Mivie. The ELIPSE represents the invisible state in which the artist finds himself, while the color PURPLE can be both beautiful and sad, representing this duality between "aloneness" and "feeling alone". With 6 tracks, the project lasts 30 minutes and shows its evolution since the first EP "Violão Y Octávio.
The production of ELIPSE PÚRPURA was done entirely on the notebook of her aunt Aline, who is honored in the track MEU SOL. The project took just over a year to complete, from July 2023 to November 2024, featuring songs that flow between different musical styles from MPB to Rap, from Funk to Gospel. The most significant references in this project were the works of Kanye West, Parteum, Denzel Curry, Kendrick Lamar, OutKast and Anderson Paak.

Octávio Furtado is an independent artist from Pelotas, who at 21 works as a composer, producer and saxophonist. His influences are not defined by just one musical style, the plurality in his songs is a trademark itself. Each track is a world by itself.
