During this episode of How to Build a Garage Addition, we finally make all of our connection flashings and I show you a lot of the different metal flashing details that go into an add on. One thing that is true with any remodel job is have your reciprocating saw ready. Throw a good Diablo Carbide blade on and you can easily and cleanly rip thru nail embedded wood no problem. As much as I dislike remodeling, it's always fun to tear into a project.

One major connection flashing detail that I think is important, is how the peak is flashed into a sidewall. I show that as well as how the new building wraps around the soffit of the old building. It was tricky connecting metal trim details to an existing wooden fascia, but I am happy with how it turned out.

Let me know down below in the comments if you liked the way we handled the connection flashing, or if there are better ways to handle the metal trim details.
