Born July 25, 1973, the sinister mastermind Dani Filth turns 52 tomorrow! As the founder, lyricist, and iconic shriek behind Cradle of Filth, he helped drag extreme metal from the underground into the global spotlight. Known for his banshee screams, poetic horror lyrics, and theatrical presence, Dani is one of metal’s most recognizable and relentless frontmen.

Cradle of Filth’s groundbreaking albums like Cruelty and the Beast, Midian, and Dusk… and Her Embrace redefined symphonic black metal, blending blistering riffs with gothic atmospheres. In 2025, the band continues their reign of darkness with their 14th studio album The Screaming of the Valkyries—a blackened masterpiece that’s charting around the world.

Outside of the band, Dani has penned the occult book The Gospel of Filth, starred in the cult horror film Cradle of Fear, and appeared in collaborations across metal and punk alike. With over three decades of chaos under his belt, Dani remains the barbed crown prince of the macabre metal world.
