Demonstration of a CBS ArcSafe® RRS-3 Emax remote racking system (RRS) racking an ABB/Sace Emax low voltage insulated case circuit breaker. CBS ArcSafe® application specific racking systems aid in arc flash safety by enabling service technicians to rack low and medium voltage electrical equipment while remaining outside of the arc flash boundary during the potentially hazardous operation. The CBS ArcSafe® RRS-3 Emax is capable of remotely operating the equipment shown without requiring any modification to the existing switchgear. Operation of the simple to use RRS-3 Emax is quite intuitive and requires only minimal setup. When used properly, the RRS-3 Emax allows technicians to remain outside of the arc flash boundary during the potentially dangerous racking operation.
