📍 6-Day Tawang Itinerary – Plan Your Perfect Trip! 🏔️

📍 Day 1: Guwahati to Dirang & Sangti Valley

✅ Start your journey from Guwahati in the morning towards Dirang, a picturesque town in Arunachal Pradesh.
✅ En route, visit Bhalukpong and Tipi Orchidarium, home to over 500 species of orchids and other rare plants.
✅ Explore Dirang Monastery and Dirang Market.
✅ Reach Dirang/Sangti Valley by evening and spend the night at a hotel, homestay, or campsite.


📍 Day 2: Sangti Valley to Tawang
✅ Start early to witness a breathtaking sunrise and enjoy breakfast by the riverside.
✅ Explore Sangti Valley and visit the Sangti Valley Sheep Farm.
✅ Visit Kiwi and Apple Farms.
✅ Begin your journey to Tawang, stopping at:
◾ Sela Pass (13,700 ft) – a stunning high-altitude mountain pass.
◾ Jaswant Garh War Memorial – dedicated to a brave soldier of the 1962 Indo-China war.
✅ Arrive in Tawang by evening, check into your hotel, and relax for the night.


📍 Day 3: Tawang Sightseeing
✅ After breakfast, begin your Tawang sightseeing tour:
◾ Tawang Monastery – the largest monastery in India and a key Buddhist center.
◾ Chagzam Suspension Bridge (14th century).
◾ Khinmey Monastery – a serene Buddhist retreat.
◾ Tawang War Memorial – honoring soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China war.
◾ Urgelling Monastery – the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
✅ Explore the local market in the evening and enjoy some shopping.
✅ Return to your hotel and spend the night in Tawang.


📍 Day 4: Tawang to Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake
✅ After an early breakfast, journey to Bumla Pass (15,200 ft) on the India-China border, offering stunning mountain views.
✅ Visit:
◾ Madhuri Lake (Shonga-Tser Lake) – a breathtaking location, famous for Bollywood movie shoots (e.g., Koyla).
◾ PTSO Lake – surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush forests, ideal for photography and nature walks.
✅ Return to Tawang in the evening and explore the local market.
✅ Overnight stay in Tawang.


📍 Day 5: Tawang to Bomdila
✅ After breakfast, head towards Bomdila (approx. 180 km, 6-7 hours drive).
✅ Visit Nuranang Falls, a spectacular waterfall creating a rainbow effect over sheer rocks into the Tawang River.
✅ Experience the Sela Tunnel, a high-altitude marvel in Arunachal Pradesh.
✅ Explore Bomdila Viewpoint and Bomdila Monastery.
✅ Overnight stay in Bomdila or Shergaon.
