Chidambaram is one of the most promising directors from Malayalam Cinema. He is the director of Manjummel Boys and Jan. E. Man. His movie Manjummel boys was the first movie to enter the 200-crore club. It is the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time, and highest grossing Malayalam film in Rest of India. His brother Ganapathy is an actor who also co-wrote Jan.E. Man. He was previously an assistant director to Jayaraj and worked in cinematography with Rajeev Ravi and K. U. Mohanan. His movie Manjummel Boys stareed Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shahir.
