He first began his journey at 30 when he lost his beloved dog. Since then, he's adopted over 3000 dogs while trying to find his dog.
He used to be a handsome young man living in Shanghai but people joked that he looked homeless after beginning this rescue journey.
Sadly, he never found his dog again but he helped saved countless lives. In order to afford the dog food, medical bills, and rent, he sold his condo in Shanghai and car, moved to the countryside. His girlfriend, unable to accept the changes, after all, 3000 dogs is a lot for even most dog lovers, she left him.
When a fire broke out, he rushed in to save every remaining dog not caring about his own health. When doctors told him there was a tumor in his lung, he refused treatment. He spent every pennies on the dogs.
Unfortunately, not taking care of his health cost him dearly because he passed away last year. Before death, he asked a 70 year old lady to help take care of his dogs. He was so worried that he couldn't close his eyes even as he breathed his last breath.
But at least he and his lost dog have finally reunited now. There have been a lot more support to the dog shelter since the story got out so he can finally rest in peace.
