Lee Ranaldo, one of the former pillars of Sonic Youth, released a new solo album, Electric Trim in September 2017 on the Mute label. This album was recorded in New York and Barcelona in collaboration with producer Raul Refree Fernandez. We find other collaborators like Sharon Van Etten who sings on six of the titles of this latest album, Kid Millions (aka Man Forever) as well as her longtime friend and collaborator Nels Cline (Wilco). Ranaldo collaborated with New York author Jonathan Lethem (Motherless Brooklyn / The Fortress of Solitude) for the lyrics of six of his songs. Recorded at the Epicerie Moderne in March 2018, this concert transports us to a universe at the crossroads of Neil Young and Wilco where we find a Lee Ranaldo sometimes psychedelic, folk rock, but always carefree.
