✨Reposting this video that I made a long time ago - this analogy provides a simplified way of understanding how anxiety can mislead you.
✨It’s a good reminder that just because you feel something it doesn’t mean that it’s factually accurate. Anxiety creates very real physical sensations that can be misinterpreted as signs of danger, even when no danger is present. And this is because your brain’s main job is to keep you safe, so when it picks up on certain cues, it can sound the alarm, even when there's no real threat.
✨Just because you feel anxious it doesn't mean you're actually in danger. Remember this analogy the next time you feel anxious, and see if you can explore alternative interpretations of your anxiety sensations.
